Privacy Policy

You don’t give us anything to read this site. There are no accounts, sign-up forms or comment boxes.

Our hosting provider receives technical information. The site is hosted through Cloudflare. When your browser asks for a page, Cloudflare processes technical information about that request, such as your IP address and the page requested, to deliver and secure the site.

We use privacy-focused analytics. Cloudflare Web Analytics tells us which pages are visited and how the site performs. It does not use cookies or local storage to track visitors. Cloudflare says it does not track individual users across its customers’ sites.

Search runs in your browser. The site’s search runs on your own device. The words you type appear in the page address, so they are part of the request information described above. We do not keep a separate search-history database.

Office Action Review uses an AI provider. When you use Office Action Review, the text of the Office Action you upload or paste is sent through our server to Anthropic’s API so the software can identify and organize what the letter says. A PDF you upload is read in your browser; only extracted text is sent to Anthropic. Trademark Valet does not add uploaded or pasted Office Actions, or Office Action Review’s reading of them, to a shared cache or database, and production request logging does not store the text you submit. Under our current Anthropic account settings, Anthropic retains API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days. Our account is not enrolled in a program that permits Anthropic to use that API data to train its models. Office Action Review also uses Cloudflare Turnstile in your browser to help prevent automated abuse.

Do not upload material you are not authorized to send to a third-party AI provider.

The question box may use the same AI provider. The site answers many questions in your browser, from pages it has already loaded. When it cannot match a typed question that way, it sends the question through our server to Anthropic’s API. Anthropic’s model picks the Trademark Valet page or clarifying question that fits it, or writes a short answer from our approved pages. With a follow-up question, we also send up to two earlier questions from the same conversation. We do not separately attach your name, email address or IP address to questions sent to Anthropic. Anything you type into the question box may be included. The 30-day retention and the training setting described above apply to these questions too, and production request logging does not store the text of your question. Before our server accepts a question, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the request comes from a real browser.

Saving questions. The Private switch is on by default. While it is on, Trademark Valet does not save your question. If you turn Private off, or press “Send this question,” we save five things: the question, the time, the answer style you chose, which pages were shown, and whether one of our pages answered it directly. We do not attach your name, IP address, a cookie or any other user identifier to a saved question. The question itself may contain identifying information, so do not include personal or confidential information. Because a saved question carries no identifier, we can find it only by its wording. To ask us to delete one, send its exact wording to privacy@trademarkvalet.com. We use saved questions to decide what to write next. We do not use them to train an AI model.

Do not type confidential information into the question box.

One setting is saved on your device. If you choose light or dark mode, your browser remembers that choice. The site does not send that setting to us. You can clear it by clearing your browser’s site data.

We don’t sell or rent personal information. We don’t share it for advertising. We don’t use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or fingerprinting.

Cloudflare processes the information described above to host, secure and measure use of the site. Anthropic processes the text submitted to Office Action Review and the questions sent from the question box, as described above. Cloudflare provides the bot-protection service used by both. Each provider’s own terms and privacy policy also govern its handling of information. We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect the site, our users or ourselves from fraud or abuse.

Valet Law, PLLC is a law firm and a separate company from Trademark Valet, LLC. Information you send directly to Valet Law is handled as a communication with Valet Law, not with Trademark Valet, LLC.

Don’t send confidential information through this site. The question box and Office Action Review are not for that purpose, and neither using them nor emailing us creates an attorney-client relationship.

If you email us, we keep your message and address to reply and for our records. We don’t add you to a mailing list.

You may contact us at privacy@trademarkvalet.com with a question about information associated with you, or to ask us to correct or delete information we keep. Where applicable law gives you additional privacy rights, we will respond as that law requires.

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. If the site starts collecting new kinds of information, such as accounts or purchases, we will update this policy before that happens.
